Songwriting – an evocative and dynamic marriage of words and music – is a creative process I find endlessly fascinating. I invite and encourage participants to bring a song or lyrics to share, though it is not a requirement. Bringing your work in whatever form is a wonderful vehicle to talk about all the different principles in songwriting – what works and doesn’t work and why. The songs can be played in person, or from a CD, thumb drive, or iPhone. Please bring with you at least one copy of the lyrics for pieces you are sharing. It will be a wonderful opportunity to mine some of the mysteries of songwriting.
