M. D. Jackson has been publishing for over forty years. He published his first magazine at 14. Since then he has worked professionally in the magazine, newspaper and book publishing industry. In 2008 he became co-publisher of Dark Worlds Magazine, which was one of the earliest magazines to be made available as an e-publication as well as a print magazine.
Since 2011 he has been the co-publisher of Rage Machine Books, a company that specializes in genre publications both for print and for the e-book market. He has also been an illustrator and assistant art director for several magazines including Amazing Stories Magazine. He formats books and magazines both for print and for e-books as a freelancer as well as for a local printing company, Hucul Printing.
He has recently been an instructor in layout and design for print and in magazine design at the Center for Arts and Technology in Kelowna.
